A delegation of 25 members, including Dr. Suja Lowenthal, Long Beach Councilmember along with Mario Cordero, President of Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners, officials from the World Trade Center Association Los Angeles-Long Beach, the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, representatives of the City of Los Angeles International Trade office and the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners, and representatives from local and regional engineering, technology and transportation-related companies visited Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata to explore the opportunity of doing business in India and promote foreign investments to Long Beach and LA County. The trade mission was supported by the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, the U.S. consulates in Mumbai and Kolkata, and the West Bengal Chamber of Commerce.
